Malititi Kimono - Comfort meets Elevation

Malititi in Dagbani, a native Ghanaian language, meaning “to make things good for us”. This vibrant green raw silk, double lined kimono aims to do just that in your wardrobe. It is adorned in hand embroidered signature Adinkra symbols to reflect the cultural heritage of Awa Atuu and show the cross-tribal significance of its Ghanaian roots. The Malititi Kimono is a versatile piece that can be worn to make any outfit stand out.

Key Features:

  • Signature Adinkra Symbols: Featuring our unique Adinkra symbols such as the Sankofa symbol meaning “go back and get it”,  Adinkrahene symbol the chief of the Adinkra symbols meaning “leadership and greatness”, Akoben symbol meaning “war horn and a call to action”, and finally the Duafe symbol meaning “wooden comb” and representing femininity.

  • Versatile Styling: Can be worn on top of any outfit from a beautiful dress to a casual two piece.

  • Quality Craftsmanship: Every kimono was handsewn in Accra, Ghana with fabric sustainably sourced across Africa. We value longevity with all our pieces and therefore use French Seams - a sewing technique that creates a neat, enclosed seam on both sides of a fabric.

  • Comfortable Fit: Designed to be quite oversized around the waist and in length, ensuring a flattering and comfortable silhouette. All Malititi Kimonos are double lined.
